Cello Night!!!!

Whooo, Cello night was CRAZY!!! It all started off with an innocent dinner out with Dan, Doug, Steve, my mom and myself and ended up in a Tnagerine-cello drunkenness!!! My dad had business at the house and so the five of us went down to Mergallina for dinner. After a great meal, we made our way to the villa in time to meet our house guests Marlyn and Bob! From that point, we proceeded to crack open the homemade Tangerine-cello and between the 6 of us (drinkers), we ended up killing about 3 or so liters!!! It is fair to say we were all rather drunk... except for Steve, who was DD for the night... thanks Steve (a.k.a. Biach)!!!

This was on the way to dinner... we were waiting for the funicolare to take us down to Mergallina!

This was at dinner... before the craziness took place!

Doug, myself and Dan... enjoying some homemade Tangerine-cello!

After a few glasses of cello, Dan and my mom were getting groovy!!!

The whole gang at the Villa enjoying cello!!! Nothing beats the homemade stuff!

Many, many cello glasses later... Dan and I finally passed out! The shitty part was that we all had to work in the morning, except for my mom, who slept in all morning!!!

This was just the beginning... here we are in Steve's room, before the real party even began!

Vietri

Today I took an adventure with Dan, Steve and Doug to a small town on the Amalfi Coast called Vietri! Vietri is well known for their customed ceramics... and that is about it! It is a cute, quaint little town, with a Duomo (main church) in the middle of it. The picture to the left is a shot of us in the car on the way to Vietri... obviously, Doug was driving!!! Geez, you have to love the TANG (known as the highway in America)!!!!

Dan and I, infront of the Duomo... a.k.a. the main church of Vietri!

HC-2 Farewell

Last night, I accompanied Dan to his squadrons farewell. Kind of confusing, but basically what is happening is their squadron and type of helo is being replaced by a new helo model and new crew. So, the guys that are here now, will return to the states in a few weeks and the new squadron (and helo) will take their place. To honor the current squadron and welcome the incoming squadron, they decided to have a big dinner celebration at a Restaurant called Iris, which is downtown! It was a good time and I was able to meet a ton of new people! Here are a few pictures from the evening!

HC-2 squadron celebrating and saying goodbye!!

Sluty and I at dinner...

Dan and I at dinner...

Hahaha, in the van on the way back to the base from dinner. There were a lot of drunk people in that van and a lot of cameras going off! But a good time non the less!

Brett and Dan in the van... they are rommates back in America, but once Brett returns he will be going to Texas for his next duty station!

The after party at the Capo Inn... room 207!!!! Poor Dan... it was always his room!

Baia

Last night, Dan and I went to dinner with Dan's friend Dave. Dan and Dave were roommates at the Naval Academy for their last 3 years and actually ran into each other the other day on the base. Dave is here with Submarine Group 8 and lives in Mounteruscello (the outskirts of Naples). He took us to an awesome little fishing village named Baia. We had a great pizza for dinner and then hit up a few bars!
Dan and I at dinner enjoying some Brunello wine... the best ever!!
After dinner at Batis, a great little bar in Baia! Music was playing and I can't help but shake my ass... plus, Dave was a good dancer, so it was fun!
Dave (a.k.a. Zeppelin) has the ability to make paper roses and has some pretty funny stories about them! Lets just say that is how he got his name Zeppelin. I love ya Dave!
Dan and I at the Monkey bar sporting our paper roses!

White Night

Last night was crazy!!! Wait, let me start with sharing what happened earlier in the day. Yesterday morning my mom and I played golf... or attempted to play golf with a friend of my mom's. After playing 9 holes, we decided against the last 9 holes and moved to the bar instead! From the bar at the golf course we made our way down to a wine tasting that was going on at Carney Park and met up with some more of my mom's friends! We wandered around the wine tasting and enjoyed several types of wine from the surrounding area and some really good mozzarella de buffalo! Since I was the youngest one in the group (by far), I was always responsible for refilling wine glasses. So, with five glasses in hand and after several samples of wine I made my way back to the bar for more. Now, completely on accident (I swear), I kind of cut in front of this poor guy (who, by the way was really cute, young and probably one of the only single guys there). I immediately apologized and then felt like an ass and practically ran away with all five of wine glasses. Needless to say, by the end of the wine tasting I had made a new friend with this guy I cut in line! His name is Dan and he was accompanied by three of his friends (Doug, Brett and Steve). They are pilots over here on deployment with an HC squardron and some how made their way to the wine tasting. After the exchanging of phone numbers, we went our seperate ways only to meet up again in downtown Naples later that night. That is when the real adventure and fun began...

So, last night was an experience I have never had before. "White Night" is an occasion were all the shops, restaurants, clubs and bars stay open ALL night and everyone (and I mean everyone) in Naples makes their way downtown!!! No cars are permitted, so I took the train and wow, talk about feeling like a packed sardine. I had to wait for 3 trains before I got on one... I finally got downtown and met Bart and Brandy (friends from work). We walked around and then settled at a wine bar! Dan called and I tried my hardest to give him directions to where we were and after about an hour and half of elbow throwing through the streets, him and Doug (a.k.a. Sluty) found us! All of us enjoyed some wine at the bar and then took on the crowd again to make our way to a club. The name of the club was Sud Terranea. We ended up staying there for the remainder of the night and drank A LOT, danced a lot and had a great time. Sluty thought it would be a good idea to take shots of tequila... whooo, it was good until he started throwing up... sorry Sluty! In all the evening was a blast. I ended up getting home around 9:30 the following morning... yea, it was a good time!

Oh, the above picture is of Dan(on the left), Myself and Doug(Sluty, on the right) at the bar!!

Sorry to ramble on! I will try to keep these shorter!

Vomero Market

Jumping right into being a Neapolitan... the only thing is I scream American. I caught on rather quickly and after an hour I was talking vendors down left and right... well, kind of!

Hmmm... do I really want this??? It's pink and I never wear pink. Well, I ended up getting it... crazy, I know!

I look Italian right??? For some reason I am thinking, NO! I was the only person wearing flip-flops in all of Italy that day, I swear!! What can I say, I am from FLORIDA!!!!
